Supporting and empowering youth and their families

We’re here for you!

ARISE Community Support

Reach your potential

ARISE Community Support is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation dedicated to seeing young people aged 12 to 17 and their families reach their full potential.

Our team of friendly, experienced youth workers is driven by a passion for helping teens thrive. We provide the guidance and safety nets necessary for young people to navigate challenges, stay safe, and achieve their personal goals.

We are proudly managed by a local community committee and are primarily funded by the Department of Communities and Justice. This ensures our services remain focused on the unique needs of our Eastern Lake Macquarie community.

What we do

Our Services

At ARISE, we provide safe, vibrant spaces for young people aged 12–17 to connect, grow, and thrive. Whether through our community drop-in centres or our school-based programs, a core part of what we do is providing individualised support tailored to each person’s unique goals and challenges.

Everything we do from fostering resilience and teamwork to providing one-on-one guidance is designed to help local youth reach their full potential. Our services are 100% voluntary and free of charge.

Getting started is simple: young people can refer themselves, be referred by a family member, or be connected to us through another service. You are always welcome here, and you are free to stop participating at any time just let our team know.

Youth individualised support

Ages 12-17

We provide one-on-one support tailored to the specific needs of young people. Our team works alongside teens to help them set goals, build self-esteem, and navigate life’s challenges. This support is flexible and driven by what the young person wants to achieve, ensuring they feel empowered and heard.

individualised Caseworker

Ages 12-17

Our caseworkers provide one-on-one support tailored to each person’s unique goals. We work closely with participants to navigate challenges and facilitate connections with other support systems and specialist services as needed.

Accessing Support:

  • Referral Based: We accept self-referrals, family referrals, or referrals from other services.
  • Voluntary & Free: Support is provided at no cost, and participation is always the young person’s choice.

Assistance, Referrals and advocacy

We provide a wide range of assistance, referrals and advocacy to young people 12 to 17 and or their families to support them to address a need or develop skills, network or access relevant services to improve their current situation or lives.

education & skills training

Delivered both in local schools and at our Windale centre, we provide targeted programs designed to build resilience and essential life skills. Our programs focus on real-world needs, equipping young people with practical tools for teamwork, respect, and personal growth. These sessions are developed to meet the specific needs of local students, and we can further tailor our programs to align with the unique requirements and priorities of individual schools.

Youth Centre activities

Drop-In, Connect, and Hang Out

Each week, the ARISE team runs a variety of activities at our youth centre locations. Our centres are a safe space for young people to drop in, hang out with friends, or participate in whatever activities are running at the time. Our qualified youth workers are always available to connect with you and provide any support you may need.

While no formal registration is required to join, we do require a basic form to be completed on your first visit to ensure we have emergency contact details on file.

Find us at the following locations:

  • Tuesdays: Windale PCYC from 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm (Ages 9–17)
  • Wednesdays: Swansea Centre from 2:15 pm – 4:15 pm (High School Students Year 7-Year 12)

Note: Our sessions run year-round, including school holidays (Holiday times may vary).

Liaising with specialist services

As an established youth service within the community, we maintain strong partnerships and professional relationships with a wide network of local providers. We regularly collaborate with these services to ensure young people can access the most appropriate support for their specific situation. By acting as a bridge to specialist care, we help participants navigate the broader support system and connect with the best possible resources to suit their needs.
